“A Summer of Perfect Brightness” is the gallery’s celebration of art and artists of many media and interests which inspire, delight, move, challenge, and entertain. This exhibition of more than 30 artists provides an opportunity to view a plethora of different—mostly small-scale—works by local, national, and international artists. Interaction takes place on multiple levels, including a performance that will reference and integrate this complex show. Curated and mounted in a non-hierarchical manner, all artworks are treated equally, receiving the same attention from the gallery team as well as the artists’ peer group. ”A Summer of Perfect Brightness” aims to create a productive connection between different approaches to individual artistic practices. The variety of techniques, themes, and styles of the artists creates a multi-layered show “salon-style” that is visually and emotionally appealing. It includes many different techniques and media, such as painting, drawing, print, collage, photography, installation, ceramics, sculpture, textile, stitching, video, and performance.
